What is your favorite location, place, building, or spot in Royalton? Why?

I really like the Town Green. It seems to bring people together. This is the Farmer's Market but any time of the week if you pop in and you're sitting somewhere somebody will stop by and play. There's always kids and that kind of thing going on. It's also walking distance for us , we live close enough so I love that convenience of coming and going to the CoOp or just hanging out. Getting the mail, running errands by foot. It's how I like to do it if I can.

What do you think makes Royalton unique or different from other places you have lived or visited?

The people. It's the people, the friendliness. It's interesting because it's been even since he was really little he would say hi to people and we go to other places and he'd say hi to people and people wouldn't say hi and I'd have to explain to my son that we live in a small community where people know you and even having the law school some of those people don't always connect, explaining that to him. So I think the people that are rooted here, have their heart here really makes it what it is.  It's a great community.

What is the most challenging aspect of life in a small Vermont town like Royalton?

Everyone knowing your own business. As a teenager I hated it but as a parent I love it. People know my kids.  We go to the bank and they go behind and get stickers. They can go and get the mail Just the little things like that. It's a blessing and a curse. Having people know your business is definitely a difficult thing but it also...
