What is your favorite location, place, building, or spot in Royalton? Why?
Well Kid's Ledge is pretty good. You've probably heard that before. It's a nice hike and a great view once you get up there and it's not too far away.
What do you think makes Royalton unique or different from other places you have lived or visited?
Coming from New York City that's a difficult question. I would say the presence of the law school adds a great deal of diversity to a rural small town in Vermont. I think the addition of the students has made a tremendous difference in this particular town. Other towns that don't have that I think miss out a little bit in that direction.
What is the most challenging aspect of life in a small Vermont town like Royalton?
Winter.
What Royalton resident made a positive difference in your life?
Maybe Tavian Mare. He's also from a New York City background so it felt very comfortable to me in a lot of ways and we started sharing …. before I was elected to the judiciary. He was very helpful to me in that and so we've just become very good friends. That eased the transition for me a lot.
